Spent the day at Old Warden near Biggleswade Beds, good fun watching the planes, especially the old bipes struggling with the strong and very gusty winds!!

Well, the weather wasn’t anywhere near as hot as Wings n Wheels, a nice breeze and a bit of could made it quite nice out in the open.

Lots of cars to look at at Beaulieu, sun was shining so the drive down was quite good too. Driving through the new forrest was fun, horses just off the side of the road with no fences, not too surprisingly there were lots of skid marks…

This year I tagged along on some of the London to Brighton mini run. Joining the run route at the M23 I saw 20 or so minis along the way.
Not having tickets we couldn’t park on the front, so left the car at a car park just down the road and walked to the show. By the time we got there, about 10am, the show was already well populated making it hard to get through to see the stands, but it was certainly no worse than most shows I’ve been to.
We left at around 2pm, leaving Madeira Drive still filling with a constant stream minis…

Seemed to be more minis than last year! Less trade though, and very little auto jumble.

Fun show, lots of minis to see and a well stocked auto jumble.
I tried to recored a walkthrough with my will P&S camera, rather shaky, but I think with a bit of weight hanging off the tripod mount it could be a good way to make a quick show tour video.
Brilliant airshow as usual, despite not being able to get anywhere near the flight line.
You may also be able to tell, this was a show for watching rather than taking photos…

Having missed out on last years fun and games due to a dodgy belly I was looking forward to MITP this year, with a new company running it it turn out great, the arena fun and games was entertaining and made for a nice break between watching minis and various other cars going down the strip.

Yesterday I went to the great Gaydon museum, met up with a couple of guys from The Real Mini Company at their stand and general had a good time looking around, infact, I had such a nice time I went again today.
A super friendly atmosphere much like when MITP was at Cornbury Park.
Of course, something had to be bought, so Bertie now sports a rather nice 8 ball gear knob.
